Actor Spaces continues to develop international relationships and build bridges to expand the mission of curating and creating spaces for creatives to grow in. This month Actor Spaces collaborates with Blu Room Productions to present to you another Masterclass: The Writers Room, conducted by Crystal Joy.
Crystal Joy is an American actress, writer, and producer — she started acting in Off-Off-Broadway plays then transitioned to commercials, short films, and features. In 2016 she began her filmmaking journey with her debut short film, Crumble, where she wrote, executive produced and starred in. Since then she has created The Woe Chronicles, Behind The Silence, her social media project, Nights and has written several short films for directors.
Last year Behind The Silence and her in-demand Instagram Script Series Nights
not only screened at the Africa Rising International Film Festival, but she also conducted a masterclass. This February Crystal will teach a workshop where she will provide tools, guidelines, and how to’s for writing a short-form script.
The Writers Room will be held at Mesh in Rosebank from February 4-8th from 10-1230pm.
