The Music Imbizo 2018 will be hosted at the Moses Mabhida Stadium (Durban, South Africa) from Thursday 23 August to Saturday 25 August, under the theme: No Borders – Let The Music Travel.
Over the years, The Music Imbizo has hosted a number leading industry organisations and companies like the KwaZulu-Natal United Music Industry Association (KUMISA), SAMRO, CAPASSO, uKhozi FM, MAPPP SETA (now CATHS SETA), CIPRO (now CIPC), SHEER Publishing, Department of Arts and Culture, Boston Media House, VIP Booking (Denmark) and many others. The year 2018 will be no different, as more than 40 spaces are available at the trade/exhibition area. 20 spaces reserved for small and medium companies in the music industry.
The Music Imbizo 2018 exhibition and trade area will host organisations like Southern African Music Rights Organisation (SAMRO), KwaZulu-Natal United Music Industry Association (KUMISA), South African Music Performance Rights Association (SAMPRA), Music Publishers Association South Africa (MPA SA) and many others. Established companies like Sheer Publishing will also be present – joining a total of 20 established organisations and companies. Over 20 youth owned projects, companies and brands will also be present.
Speakers include the SAMRO CEO Nothando Migogo, Stevie Wonder’s manager Keith Harris, Lindelani Mkhize – the co-founder of Joyous Celebration, the multi award winning artist and record label owner Kwesta plus Gqom super producers the Distruction Boyz. There are over 70 speakers that make the list for The Music Imbizo 2018.
