Johannesburg, South Africa – After much anticipation from the industry and industry peers alike, the multi-talented recording artist and musician LEXLEO, launched his first commercial released single “Bafun’ukwazi” (They Wanna Know) online.
This 31 year old singer/rapper, writer and producer fuses elements of Hip-Hop, Afrobeats, Acoustic sounds, Gqom, House and EDM into his music. He has also pioneered a unique Afro-Persian sound, amalgamating his African upbringing and Persian roots.
Born and bred in Johannesburg, Alexander “LEXLEO” Rawháni, is known for his electrifying multi-faceted personality on the SA entertainment scene. He is no stranger to South Africa’s A-list circles, being SA’s Celebrity Dentist, supplying Custom made jewellery and grillz to some of South Africa’s biggest stars, and being widely known for his award-winning sense of style and fashion.
He is South Africa’s first Afro-Persian Hip-Hop artist, with a unique musical content, based on his progressive lifestyle, social involvement and local upbringing.
Through his music and lyrics he hopes to break the negative stereotypes in the music industry, positively influence the direction of today’s younger generation, and contribute to the establishment of racial unity, gender equality and universal education.
