MUSIC SPACES | Hope engraved in house music Prince Raven Ortega releases his single – ‘Wena Wedwa’

As House music takes over the entertainment scene in South Africa, more male vocalists are battling it out for the spotlight. House vocalist, Prince Raven Ortega’s journey has begun with the release of his new single titled ‘Wena Wedwa’. The talented vocalist originally from Eastern Cape – Port Elizabeth, is no stranger to the music scene. He has featured on Mzansi’s top charting artists’ songs such as Vetkuk vs Mahoota, Heavy K, Point 5, Mr Luu & MSK, Sdudla to name a few.

His single ‘Wena Wedwa’ with a fresh and vibey tune is produced by the renowned house DJ duo, Mr Luu and MSK known for their magical touch on popular dance tunes such as “Lento” by Professor & Speedy as well as “Imizi” by Zano. An opportunity finally presented itself when he was discovered by Melodi Music early this year which enhanced his singing talent that sees him making his debut.

Like most dreams, his journey was met by countless hardships as he knocked on doors while chasing a dream. Prince Raven Ortega left home with only the clothes on his back and hope to succeed in the concrete jungle. He worked as a security guard to make ends meet while waiting for his big break. “Music has always been a sign of hope for me. This is the only thing I have held on to and I can’t wait for people to enjoy my music, says Prince.

Music has seen Prince Raven Ortega through the toughest times, Mzansi is yet to feel his soul through his music when his single hits the airwaves.
