Scandal! records more than 5.6 million people, which now exceeds the previous 5.4 million audiences following Mamba and Gorbachev’s death. House of Zwide exceeded its launch ratings by inviting more than 4.3 million viewers and keeping everyone glued to their seats.
On the 11th of August, both Scandal! and House of Zwide attracted viewers with their riveting storylines. Scandal’s storyline showed the return of Nhlamulo as he is released from jail and is finally reunited with the love of his life, Lindiwe. Preparations for their wedding were underway and on the other hand, Nonzi was finally kicked out of the house by the Ngema family as they burnt the title deed.
House of Zwide with the contrasting worlds of Mambisa and Rosebank saw more than 4.3 million people watching Bra T as he dared to cross Isaac – a further improvement on the launch episode’s viewership of 4.2 million people. The show is attracting more and more eyes and keeping viewers intrigued with its relatable storylines.
On the 28th of July Durban Gen reached a record 7.2 Audience Ratings which equates to 2.7 million viewers, the highest TV rating the show received to date. The Dlamini drama kept viewers glued to their screens as they gathered around for a good old family meeting with Mbali, Thabo and Precious, discussing Mbali’s virginity status prior to her getting married to Sbu.
