SAFTA’s WEEKEND IS UPON US | 2017

By:Lillian Zandile Tshabalala |
In the much competitive TV world, each year calls for bigger productions, better stories and moving performances to be ahead of the pack. Our local entertainment industry is on an all time high, with growing access to larger platforms of exposure, for writers to tell their stories, actors to keep us intrigued and A-star productions leaving us in awe of how the greatness of the final product was achieved.

Such greatness and innovation in craft should be highlighted on a grand scale, the South African Film & Television Awards has for the past 11years been the centre of celebrating individuals and productions who have brought us ground breaking stories and jaw dropping performances from our amazing stars who walk onto set and disrobe themselves to step into characters that we can all relate to.

The SAFTA’s weekend is finally upon us! As designers place final touches on garments, makeup artists decide what lip color will go well with which outfit, whilst the nominees prepare their speeches with their nerves on edge, Actor Spaces would like to applaud all of the Nominee’s on a job well done, recognition is an award enough. Your work has spoken volumes to many.

Let’s vote one last time before the big night, catch the live event on SABC 2 at 20:00.
